Third grade students in Lisa Scrom’s music classes at Edna Louise Spear Elementary School had a special preholiday treat when members of the Three Village Chamber Players visited the school to perform excerpts from Haydn and Borodin and some amazing arrangements made of Nordic folk tunes from the Danish String Quartet. “The students especially liked this music,” orchestra teacher Dr. Vanessa Salzman said of the unique arrangements of Scandinavian songs.
