Earl L. Vandermeulen High School Valedictorian Honored at Suffolk County School Superintendents’ Luncheon

Superintendent of Schools Jessica Schmettan and Earl L. Vandermeulen High School Principal John Ruggero recently attended the Suffolk County School Superintendents Association’s annual luncheon, where the county’s top graduating seniors were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements.

Representing the Port Jefferson School District was Earl L. Vandermeulen High School valedictorian Max Kronberg, who was honored alongside fellow valedictorians from school districts across Suffolk County. The event celebrates the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence demonstrated by the region’s highest-achieving students.

Mr. Kronberg’s accomplishments throughout his high school career have distinguished him as an exceptional scholar, leader, and role model. His recognition at the luncheon reflects not only his commitment to academic excellence but also the support of his teachers, family, and the entire Port Jefferson school community.

“Max’s achievements are a testament to his perseverance, intellect, and dedication to learning,” said Superintendent Jessica Schmettan. “We are incredibly proud of all that he has accomplished and look forward to seeing the impact he will make in the future.”

Principal John Ruggero added, “It was an honor to celebrate Max alongside Suffolk County’s finest students. He has represented Earl L. Vandermeulen High School with distinction, and we congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition.”
