Earl L. Vandermeulen High School Senior Aiofe Hogan Named Semifinalist in 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program

Earl L. Vandermeulen High School is proud to announce that senior student Aiofe Hogan has been named a prestigious semifinalist in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. This accolade recognizes Aiofe as one of the nation’s most academically talented high school seniors, providing her with an exceptional opportunity to compete for one of the National Merit Scholarships that will be awarded next spring.

Aiofe’s principal, John Ruggero, expressed his pride in Aiofe's accomplishment. “We are thrilled to see Aiofe recognized as a semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program,” Principal Ruggero said. “Her dedication, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to excellence are truly commendable. This achievement is a testament to her hard work and the supportive learning environment at Earl L. Vandermeulen High School.”

The National Merit Scholarship Program is a distinguished academic competition that honors the top high school students in the United States. Now that Aiofe Hogan is a semifinalist, she can work toward the finalist level. To qualify as a finalist, semifinalists must meet several rigorous requirements and demonstrate continued excellence in their academic pursuits.
