Three Earl L. Vandermeulen High School seniors signed their National Letter of Intent to play Division I collegiate athletics. Preston Biedenkapp committed to Fairfield University for men’s rowing, Katie Chambers committed to Boston University for women’s rowing and Lilli Kircher committed to Stonehill College for women’s lacrosse. Family and friends celebrated this accomplishment at the school on Nov. 9.

The ceremony began with Athletic Director Adam Sherrard sharing his pride of the three student-athletes and how impressive their accomplishments are. Port Jeff Rowing Club coach James Finke and Port Jefferson varsity girls lacrosse coach Logan Hoffmann then shared stories and examples of the tremendous work ethic and character the student-athletes exhibit at practice and competitions. After each signing their Letter of Intent, the students took photos with their coaches and family. Congratulations to Preston, Katie and Lilli!
