The Port Jefferson varsity girls volleyball team won back-to-back Suffolk County Class C championships. The Royals were the only Class C team in Suffolk County to qualify for playoffs. The team will take on East Rockaway on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. at SUNY Old Westbury for the Long Island championship. If the team wins on Thursday, they will advance to the regional championships on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. at Earl L. Vandermeulen High School. The Royals are looking to get back to the NYSPHSAA championships after finishing as the state runner-up in 2022. Anyone planning to attend the postseason contests can purchase tickets on GoFan.
