The varsity boys cross-country team won the Class C county championships on Nov. 3 at Sunken Meadow State Park. This is the seventh consecutive year the team has won the county championship. In addition to the team county championship, Colin Veit also was the individual county champion for all Class C runners. The team of Sean Grossman (9), Max Joyner (11), Chris Nam (10), Andrew Schretzmayer (12), Carman Stanton (12), Lucas Sweeney (10) and Colin Veit (11) will compete in the NYSPHSAA Cross Country championships this weekend at Vernon Verona Sherrill High School in Verona, New York. The team finished third overall in Class D at the NYSPHSAA championships last year.

The boys will be joined by Gwen Connelly who finished fourth overall for all female Class C runners to earn herself a trip to the state championship. Gwen qualified for the NYSPHSAA Cross Country championships for the second year in a row.
