The Royal Educational Foundation Power of One Family Fun Run was part of the Port Jefferson School District’s homecoming weekend festivities and a time to celebrate one of our own administrators! Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Robert Neidig was honored at the seventh annual event and was joined by approximately 200 walkers and runners of all ages on the two-mile course that started at the Village Center and wound up at the High School Bowl.

“It was wonderful to witness an event that not only honored Dr. Neidig for his commitment to our students’ education but also united us all as a community,” Superintendent of Schools Jessica Schmettan said.

The focus of the yearly event is to encourage physical activity and to celebrate its positive influence within the Port Jefferson schools and community. The proceeds of the fundraiser will be used to enhance the quality of education in the Port Jefferson School District.
