The stars were aligned for the annual Royals Light Up the Night on Oct. 13. The Royal spirit lit up Port Jefferson when the 2023 homecoming festivities brought students, faculty, administrators, Board of Education members and community residents to the parade down Main Street on Friday night. Earl L. Vandermeulen High School students decorated cars and trucks with Port Jefferson purple lights and balloons. Port Jefferson Middle School student-musicians shared their talents, and Edna Louise Spear Elementary School students joined in the beautiful nighttime walk through the village.
