With so many academic opportunities, extracurricular activities and events going on at Earl L. Vandermeulen High School, a leadership role is available each year to a senior to represent their peers at the District’s Board of Education meetings. This year, senior Kiersten Parmegiani is serving as the student representative to the school board members for the 2023-24 school year.

Kiersten, an active member of the high school’s Student Organization since ninth grade, is also a member of the Environmental Club, the Interact Club, the Peer Leadership Club and the Varsity Club. She plays on the Royals’ varsity soccer and varsity golf teams. She shared her first report on Sept. 12, highlighting the successful start to school as well as several upcoming events.

Asked about her new role as the student representative, Kiersten replied “I really like it.”

Thank you, Kiersten, for caring about your high school education and for sharing your positivity with your school community.
