The Port Jefferson School District is pleased to officially announce the creation of an Armed Forces Tribute that will recognize former Port Jefferson School District students and staff who served our nation in the Armed Forces.

A brick campaign is currently underway with the cost of each brick at $100. The bricks will be set at the selected Tribute site in front of Earl L. Vandermeulen High School. They will be placed on the Court of Courage and the Path of Honor surrounding the Tribute. Each purchased brick will be engraved with a special message to honor past and current service members, family members, community members or friends.

The brick fundraising campaign will run until March 1 and a dedication ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 30. Please contact Kathy Hanley in the Office of the Superintendent at (631)791.4221 with any questions.
