High School senior Annalisa Welinder has been named a National Merit Scholarship winner in the 64th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Annalisa was chosen from more than 15,000 outstanding students from across the country who were selected for their strong combination of exceptional academic accomplishments, skills and potential for success in rigorous college courses. She will receive a $2,500 scholarship for her studies at Stanford University where she will begin in the fall.

Annalisa is also the school’s Class of 2019 valedictorian.

“Annalisa is a true renaissance woman, excelling throughout her high school career in academics, music and athletics,” Principal Christine Austen said. “She is masterful in all she pursues and our school community looks forward to hearing great things about her as she continues in her higher education.”
