Students in Mr. Michael Maletta’s seventh-grade health class have been learning about the six pillars of character – trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship – as well as the importance of anti-bullying in their school community. To culminate the health unit, they worked to create a welcoming, caring and safe environment by covering the classroom walls with posters sharing positive messages. “The posters will not only brighten the students’ day but will serve as a reminder to be thoughtful and respectful to each other throughout the school day and beyond,” Mr. Maletta said.
