When asked what inspired four students to raise funds for children who are ill, in unison they replied “our loved ones.” The children who receive treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be the beneficiaries of the $500 raised by fourth graders Olivia Andriani, Tess O’Connell, Anneliese Rago and Ava Rago. Their spirited fundraising efforts included making and selling rainbow loom bracelets, small rubber ducks, pencils, teddy bears and other items throughout the school. “We did get a lot of good responses for doing this project,” Olivia said. The young student leaders are already brainstorming what they can do next to help in the greater community.
