Music students from the middle school were recently visited by members of the Three Village Chamber Players, a classical ensemble. During the visit, the group held a masterclass with Dr. Vanessa Salzman’s sixth-grade orchestra students followed by a performance for several of the middle school music ensembles. Featuring the music of Mozart and Brahms, the group also addressed the unique musical skills required for performing in a small ensemble.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to have performers of this caliber help to continue to build upon the successful music program in our schools,” Dr. Michael Caravello, the district’s director of music and fine arts said. “Their goals of working to be an essential source of artistry in Suffolk County align with our mission of encouraging students to explore and discover meaningful and creative participation in musical and fine arts experiences.”
