Port Jefferson Middle School music student Viviane Kim was featured as a piano soloist with the Stony Brook University orchestra at the family orchestra concert on March 5. Viviane was selected as the winner of the university’s Young Artist Program Concerto competition this year.

A seventh-grader, Viviane had the opportunity to enhance her public musical performance skills on the Staller Center’s main stage alongside dozens of the university’s orchestra members. The theme of the concert was Dance in Orchestra, and among those in the audience were Viviane’s proud parents as well as students and faculty members from the Port Jefferson School District.
