This year’s annual trip to Frost Valley for sixth-graders marked 40 years that students have participated in nature hikes, science exploration, outdoor living skills, trust-building activities, and teamwork.

The two days of adventures included orienteering, visiting waterfalls, observing animals, learning to read maps and use a compass and crossing cable bridges. Frost Valley educators introduced the students to a variety of animals and reptiles and helped them understand how these species spend their days both in captivity and in the wild.
