Teacher assistant honored for 21 years of service
The Port Jefferson School District Board of Education honored Patricia
Gang for her more than two decades of service to the children of the
district.
Gang was lauded by Edna Louise Spear Elementary School Principal Tom
Meehan, who had kind words to share about her work with the students.
Gang started her career in Port Jefferson with the school lunch program
and became affectionately known as the “snack lady” by the students,
making her the most popular person in the school. She later became a
teacher assistant and will retire at the end of the school year.
“She will be missed and we all wish her well,” Meehan said.
