Honored for sharing student musical pleasures
When the Port Jefferson Lions Club members hold their monthly meetings
to plan out their projects for the dozen or so local charities they
raise funds for, they are often met with some music when they stand for
the Pledge of Allegiance.
The songs are provided by the talented students of our school district.
To thank them for bringing these musical measures to their meeting and
for his support of the service organization, the Lions members recently
honored Dr. Michael Caravello, the district’s director of music and fine
arts, with a certificate of appreciation. He is shown here with Port
Jefferson Lions Club President Dean T. Jenkins
