Five high school student-musicians had the opportunity to rehearse and perform at Carnegie Hall with other highly talented Long Island students.

The students were accepted as part of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York. They are junior Katie Ambrozy, selected to the Symphonic Choir, juniors Jillian Lawler and David Rotunno, selected to the Symphony Orchestra and freshmen Nicole Schully and Ava Schully, selected to the Symphonic Orchestra and Principal Orchestra, respectively. They had to audition in a competitive selection process based on a New York State School Music Association Level 4 or 5 solo on their instruments or voice.
