Port Jefferson students share musical talents at SCMEA Festival
Thirty-three students from our schools were selected to participate in
this year’s Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association All-County
Festival.
Paige Braile, Grace Brown, Isabelle Chen, Alexa Eichinger, Jared
Furjanic, Viviane Kim, Jinah Kwak, Nathaniel Lawler, Alexander
Layne-Stasik, Abigail Levine, Rose Meliker-Hammock, Gavin Onghai, Kay
Ranjbar, Andrew Schretzmayer, Nicholas Smirnov, Jack Snyder, Carman
Stanton, Devon Welsch, Alexa Wonderland and Cassidy Worrell were
selected to perform with other Suffolk County fifth- and sixth-graders
in Division I.
Middle School seventh- and eighth-graders selected for Division II were
Alexa Ayotte, Sophie Blumenthal, Luke Dickuth, Teppei Fukuto, Nicolina
Giannola, Kasumi Layne-Stasik, Natalie McGuigan, Andrew Patterson and
Ruby Ray.
High School ninth- and tenth-graders selected for Division III were Sinan Ates, Rachel Park, Jack Reilly and Nicole Schully.
After three days of rehearsals, the students participated in a final performance at Central Islip High School in early March.
