The first evening of March was the inaugural Cabaret Night at the high school. Organized by the members of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, guests listened to a wide variety of musical selections performed by the students while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and desserts.

The event, under the leadership of music teacher Christine Creighton, served as a fundraiser for the Tri-M music honor society’s annual scholarship. The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education, designed to recognize secondary music students for their musical ability, academic excellence, school involvement and community service. Throughout the year, Port Jefferson students work to broaden the musical horizons of fellow students and community members.
