What do a seventh-grade varsity tennis player, a peer tutor and a three-sport participant have in common?

They are just a few of the exceptional students from our district who will be featured on the Spotlight on Long Island Schools show on LI News Radio, 103.9 FM, to air on Saturday, March 3, at 10:30 a.m.

High school students Samantha Acampora, Jack Collins, Shane DeVincenzo, Max Okst and Kyra Sommerstad; middle schoolers Benjamin Perez-Flesler and Nicolina Giannola; and elementary school student Lucy Sarlo shared stories of their academic, athletic and community service accomplishments and activities. They were joined by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Paul Casciano, Athletic Director Dr. Danielle Turner, High School Principal Christine Austen and Middle School Principal Dr. Robert Neidig.

Hosted by Robert Vecchio, the question-and-answer format, 30-minute show highlighted the varied accomplishments of these students as well as mentioned the high school’s designation as a Blue Ribbon School this academic year.

Tune in to hear their impressive stories of balancing academics and other achievements on March 3.
