The Middle School Drama Club will present its adaptation of “Shrek The Musical JR.” based on the hit movie and Broadway show. Showtimes are Friday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. at the High School auditorium.

“We are so proud of the level of dedication to this year’s production,” said Mary LaSita, the middle school/high school librarian who serves as the club’s co-adviser along with music teacher Lisa Scrom.

The production is a combined effort of the 44 middle school students involved in the Drama Club, who make up the cast and stage crew, as well as student volunteers from the High School.

“This is our largest show thus far and the dancing, set design and singing is outstanding,” LaSita said. “We have over 20 high school volunteers, many of whom have come up through the program, who have worked tirelessly with the middle school students. This has been a wonderful experience.”

Admission to the performance is available for a suggested donation of $5 per ticket or $10 per family.
