‘Tickling the Ivories’ at the Elementary School
A new generation of pianists — some of whom may become as famous as
Mozart, Billy Joel or Art Tatum — are learning basic technical skills at
Edna Louise Spear Elementary School.
As part of their music curriculum, students in Lisa Scrom’s and
Christian Neubert’s first-grade music classes have begun their piano
unit. They will learn basic fingerings and hand positions as well as
note names and their location on the piano.
