Student Creates Study Guide Website for Peers
Middle school sixth-grader Benjamin Perez-Flesler was honored by the board of education at its Jan. 10 meeting for “demonstrating tremendous initiative” by creating a sixth-grade study guide website for his peers.
The website, designed by Perez-Flesler, includes test calendars, daily homework assignments for sixth-grade classes, study guides and links to education games. It also provides options for extra help from himself and fellow students who are volunteering their time during their lunch period. Additionally, Perez-Flesler collaborated with teachers to include additional information.
“I am so proud of Benjamin’s commitment to assisting his fellow students with their academic success,” said Middle School Principal Dr. Robert Neidig. “His actions demonstrate his selflessness and compassionate nature.”
