High school freshman Sinan Ates recently participated in the 36th annual Howard Hovey Tuba Day, held at Smithtown High School East.

During the event, Ates performed alongside 200 tuba students from across Suffolk County on one stage. Several professional musicians, including renowned guest artist Michael Milnarik, also attended the event.
