In an effort to promote fire safety and prevention, middle school orchestra teacher and volunteer firefighter Christian Neubert arrived to school on Oct. 11 in a fire truck.
Surrounded by intrigued students, Neubert took the opportunity to provide students with safety tips before allowing them to try on his fire gear and air mask. Students also learned about life-saving tools that firefighters use, including the Jaws of Life.
“Students were genuinely excited about this important safety lesson,” said Principal Dr. Robert Neidig.
