The academic achievements of middle school eighth-graders were recognized at a moving up ceremony on June 23 at the high school.

During the event, the students received several special classroom recognitions, Presidential Awards for Academic Excellence and certificates to signify their move to high school.

“You have grown mentally and physically and have a very bright future ahead,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Bossert. “Now is the time to decide what role you will play in high school and what contributions you will make to your school and community.”

Also speaking during the ceremony was Middle School Principal Dr. Robert Neidig and eighth-grade Student Council President Felicity Hyams.
