Zoning in on Athletic Leadership
As a result of displaying outstanding leadership and character in physical education classes, three Port Jefferson Middle School eighth-graders were recognized with awards from the Suffolk Zone of the New York Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
The Port Jefferson students, Michael Brown, Farrell Johnston and Aiden Kaminska, earned their awards based upon recommendations from their physical education teachers.
“These students have proven themselves with exceptional physical performance, scholastic ability and leadership qualities,” said Edward Cinelli, interim director of physical education, health & athletics. “They are each well-deserving of this recognition.”
