Senior Advances to National Merit Finals
The National Merit Scholarship Program has named high school senior Eric Kilgore as a finalist in its 2016 scholarship contest.
Eric is among 15,000 students to advance from a field of 16,000 candidates based on his high PSAT score. He now has the opportunity to compete for one of 7,600 National Merit scholarships, which will be offered in the spring.
Eric is a member of his school’s Science Olympiad, Academic and Mathlete teams. He is also a member of the Latin Club and earned a perfect score on his last two National Latin exams. Outside of the classroom, Kilgore is an avid swimmer and competes on the Three Village Swim Club team. He intends to study physics in college in the fall.
