Student Recognized for Academic Excellence
The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth has named Lucas Rohman, a middle school eighth-grader, as one of the brightest middle school students in the world.
Lucas earned this designation based on his exceptional performance as a middle school student on the college SAT and ACT. He is one of only 1,175 students to be recognized out of nearly 31,000 students who participated in the 2014-15 CTY Talent Search.
As one of Johns Hopkins’ Brightest in the World awardees, Lucas qualified to attend a CTY residential summer program, online classes and several family programs.
Lucas, who is a member of his school’s National Junior Honor Society and Science Olympiad Team, said he was honored to be named. “It has opened up a lot of opportunities to further my studies,” he said.
