Students Raise Money for Childhood Cancer Organization
The Port Jefferson School Board honored six middle school students on Nov. 10 for a fundraiser they held for the American Childhood Cancer Organization. The students were recognized for organizing an after-school bake sale with the assistance of their teacher, Deirdre Filippi. Through the sale, they raised $225 for the ACCO.
“We are very proud of these students, who are upholding the ideals of the Port Jefferson School District, including responsibility to self, family and community,” said Middle School Principal Dr. Robert Neidig.
The Port Jefferson School District extends its congratulations to Charlotte Ambrozy, Sarah Moshe, Abigail Muffly, Meghan Penske, Jacqueline Poten and Nicole Schully.
