Elementary students are engaged in coding and creating with small robots that combine the physical and digital worlds. Librarian Selinda Stout introduced them to Ozobots and the students immediately started to navigate the simple and easy to use robots. “I have never seen them more excited,” Ms. Stout said of the students who are so eager to open the bins that house the robots. Once they become familiar with the color-based coding – a visual way for them to understand coding and programming – they will be tasked with fun, educational and grade-level appropriate activities while having the freedom to create their own.
