Congratulations to senior Holly D’Accordo, who was nominated and recognized with the Thomas Cutinella Foundation Service Award for her work in helping to make a positive impact in her local community. Holly was honored during a varsity girls basketball game halftime ceremony by the Long Island Radio Broadcasting’s Tour For 54, which honors local high school students with the award to help raise awareness for the Thomas Cutinella Foundation, named in memory of the Shoreham-Wading River High School athlete. Noted by both athletic director Mr. Adam Sherrard and soccer coach Mr. Taylor Forstell, who nominated her for the honor, Holly has all the characteristics of an outstanding student-athlete, maintaining a high GPA while serving as a captain for the soccer team and a leader on the lacrosse team, as vice president of the Varsity Club, a member of the Interact Club and the National Honor Society as well as her involvement in local theater and volunteering for school and community events. The school community congratulates Holly on her achievement and for helping to promote a lasting legacy for Thomas Cutinella.
